VIALE RICHARD
The Towers on Viale Richard in Milan, built in the 1960s, are a landmark of the residential skyline in the south-western area of the city.
Recently, one of the towers underwent our controlled demolition intervention at the upper floors of the building.
The work involved the demolition of the pool and technical rooms on the 17th floor, including portions of the structure related to the elevator shaft overrun.
To operate in safety in confined spaces, we employed Brokk mini-robots (models 200 and 110) and a compact Kubota U17 excavator, enabling precise operations even at height.
Additionally, cuts and core drilling were carried out on parapets and reinforced concrete beams.
Due to the complexity of the project, each activity was carefully planned with special attention to the urban context, preventing the risk of debris falling onto the surrounding streets. Demolition material was sorted, loaded, and transported for proper disposal. Simultaneously, approximately 300 m² of waterproofing membrane were removed from the terrace.
The intervention, completed in about two months, involved a total of 150 m³ of demolition work.
