VESPUCCI 2
In the heart of Milan, within a 9-storey residential building, we carried out a highly technical controlled demolition as a preparatory step for its complete redevelopment. A precision-driven operation that required the integrated management of machinery, specialized expertise, and tailored solutions suited to a particularly sensitive urban context.
The intervention involved the controlled demolition of over 500 cubic meters of reinforced concrete structures. We employed Brokk demolition robots equipped with hydraulic breakers and crushing shears, as well as diamond wire and disc cutting systems to ensure millimetric precision and minimal vibration.
The demolition work focused on complex structural elements, including elevator shafts, sections of intermediate floor slabs, and large portions of the rooftop level. All activities were performed at height, in challenging logistical conditions, and carefully planned to minimize both noise and environmental impact on the surrounding urban area.
As part of the project, we also managed the safe removal of an entire external metal staircase. This was dismantled using a crane and oxy-acetylene cutting, through meticulous segmentation and controlled lowering.
A project carried out in full compliance with strict safety standards, with particular attention to preserving the delicate urban fabric of Milan. An example of technical and selective demolition serving the sustainable regeneration of existing buildings.
