POLITECNICO MILANO
In what was once an agricultural and then cinematographic/industrial hub, now stands an ambitious University. We demolished half of the roof structure of two industrial warehouses. In the area formerly used for ground testing of helicopter blades, we carried out the decontamination of hazardous substances (MMVF).
In the early '90s, the Bovisa Campus, part of the Polytechnic University of Milan, started one of the most significant requalification and urban integration processes in the city. In this new-generation campus, which opens up to the city and encourages engagement with its activities and excellence, young engineers study every day to "interpret the spirit of the times and provide answers to the way of building," as Renzo Piano once said about this project.
