Inside the former Odeon Cinema, we carried out a controlled demolition and conservative restoration, using specialized techniques and equipment to operate in a complex urban setting of high historical value. An iconic building and a place of memories for generations of Milanese, whose new project aims to create a mixed-use complex comprising residences, offices, retail spaces, cinema halls, and related functions.

The controlled demolitions were performed with pinpoint precision using a Brokk 110 electric mini robot equipped with a high-frequency hydraulic breaker and a crusher, ensuring accuracy and minimal vibrations. Earthworks and soil handling were carried out with a Kubota U10 mini excavator, while material transport was managed with a mini crane and 10 m³ roll-off containers.

Working in such a sensitive area of Milan required meticulous planning and close synergy between equipment, specialized personnel, and tailored logistical solutions, in order to minimize noise and environmental impact.

An intervention that combines historical heritage and technical innovation, contributing to the sustainable regeneration of one of Milan’s most recognizable buildings.
