TORRE SOLARIA

Cutting and core drilling works at Torre Solaria, a 143-meter-tall residential building in the heart of Milan's Centro Direzionale district

TORRE SOLARIA

In the heart of Milan's Centro Direzionale district, we carried out a significant intervention on the Torre Solaria, a 143-meter-tall residential building, one of the tallest in Italy. The project involved, overjust ten days, performing cuts and core drilling on reinforced concrete slabs to create a new opening for a connecting staircase and dumbwaiter between the22nd and 23rd floors.

The main challenge of this project was twofold: on one hand, controlling the worksite water to ensure safety and cleanliness; on the other, handling and moving the material blocks within a prestigious building withoutdisrupting the daily activities of its surroundings.

The experience demanded precision, coordination, and meticulous attention to detail, successfully combining tight timelines, technical complexity, and respect for the spaces of an iconic building in the Milanese skyline.
